Past student with a Bachelor degree from FIT (the Fashion Institute of Technology), she has worked for impressive fashion houses such as Burberry and Domenico Vacca.
Not only seing Fashion as outfits and vanity, for her it goes beyond public appearance. Aila describes it as an extension of self worth that people should exploit to stand their ground and affirm themselves.
In an interview, she confessed; « to me, fashion empowers, creates, and changes many peoples lives, not only the lives of the end consumer’s but the lives of the peoples involved in the production side ».
Design has ever been part of her life as she is the daughter of two architects; clothing and creating are the components of her personality, thus we obviously see these in Aila’s smile while talking about her company.
The production and manufacturing are fascinating because as she claims «most people don’t get how much work and how many people it involves to get things made. »
A brand where acknowledgment and transparency are a must. The gap she saw in Asia is the hope of one day developing fashion as a tool to diversify styles.
I think a such young woman with so many things to offer should succeed in life, the ambition, the art in her work, the imagination are what make someone special and unique.
